Let the Summer Adventure Begin...

Never a dull moment in the Richter household. One week ago, our son was in the ICU on a ventilator and today we're heading to the mountains to see two of our dear friends, Jason and Andrea, get married (Wahoo!)

We're especially honored that they have asked Nash to be the ring bearer. (Should prove entertaining).

What is the old saying, "If you want to make God laugh, tell him your plans."

Well, our plans were to move last weekend, before we unexpectantly went into the hospital. Somehow, we still managed the move this week and will begin a new series of adventures this summer.

First stop, a big boy bed for Nash! Besides the one night this week that Michael awoke to find Nash wandering in the playroom, it has been a SUCCESS!!! (Poor guy, most people plan and plan this transition. Nash, on the otherhand, moves to a big boy bed in a new, strange house. And he did fabulous!)

Following the wedding this weekend, the boys and I will be going to Black Mountain, NC. We will be trying ABM, the Anat Baniel Method with Shaw. This five day, ten treatment intensive therapy is an alternative approach to Physical Therapy. I have been researching ABM for months and we found a therapist that comes highly recommended with huge success rates with brain injuries. We are so eager to meet John and work closely with Shaw, while Nash gets a week of the outdoors - filled with waterfalls and hikes, critter catching and picnics.

We're packed for the mountains and this is all I can see in my rear view mirror... Makes me smile.

J and A, let the festivities begin!!

Happy First Birthday, Sweet Lu! You make our world brighter.
