Success.

Shaw sailed through surgery today. We are ELATED he did not have to be intubated. The doctors took extreme care acknowledging Shaw's atypical reaction to procedures. The Anesthesiologist in particular was superb - personally winning Shaw over so he did not have to receive the versad (mind-erasing drug) that could have caused some additional problems in recovery. The team was fabulous.

Because of Shaw's frail nature, they decided to keep him for observation tonight. The chemo drug has a tendency to cause swelling the first few hours after application, so to ensure we're in the right place if in fact there are complications, we'll stay tonight.

Thank you so much for the prayers, calls and concern.

Looking forward to getting home to Nash and having Team Richter under one roof.
