This was our announcement...
It was short and unemotional - not at all like our ride that day at the hospital.
But Shaw was ALIVE and here and we braced, unknowingly, for what lie ahead.
Our faith renewed.
Our fears polarized.
Relationships enriched.
Information overload.
Obstacles overcome.
A foundation born.
Destiny changed.
How our lives would be forever changed.

After quite a rollercoaster ride, we are proud to announce the arrival of Avery Shaw Richter. Named in honor of both of our grandparents, our wee little boy weighed in at 2lbs 7oz at 5am this morning.
Born at only 27 weeks, we have a long road ahead, but both Mom and son are stable and blessed.
